The dreaded ‘C’ word!

Changes are obviously a necessary evil in the world of 3D Visualisation.  3D Studios are striving as hard as their clients to get that perfect render to give the great results that we all want.  With that, both parties will often need to make amendments to the ‘finished’ product. 

Changes can be a small things like:

Colour Schemes

Changing materials/textures

Furniture changes/position alterations.

Changing a skies colour (ie. Bluer or more cloudy!)

Or larger things like:

Landscaping

Interior Décor

Façade Alterations

Redesign Floor plans

A lot of studios will charge for any change outside the scope of the project or variations from the initially provided materials. Some studios like ours, like to try and keep additional charges down.  Whatever the case, if you decide on a studio, make sure you find this out initially.

In the end, there has to be a bit of flexibility to ensure a great outcome, just make sure that both parties are looking after each other. This might take a bit of give and take, but will go a long way to ensure you get a great result and ensure future working opportunities between you both.

A huge help is to get together a finished and agreed upon (between ALL stakeholders) scope and materials prior to giving it to the studio. This ensures that the studio has the latest information and can jump straight into making an image amazing!

Remember though, with 3d Visualisations, ANY change will require reburn time and this can take up a studios most precious resource, its render farm. So try and make all amendment/alterations in one hit if possible.  Your Render studio will thank you for it!
